Iolanthe

Do you have memories of appearing in the G & S operas? Did you have a major part or were you a chorus "girl"?

I helped with Front of House for the 1966 or 65 production of Iolanthe. Its been my favourite ever since.

Tony has an excellent web page on the RGS G&S operas, listing which operetta was performed in which year and with scans of programmes, cast photos, etc...

Hello Rodney, and welcome.
Can I congratulate you on being the very first OB to post on our new Forum.

On my Iolanthe page for 1965 I have couple of excellent photographs.

Do you happen to possess a copy of the Programme for it.
If so can you please contact me via my email address as shown on my homepage so we can discuss adding it to my site?

It's too long ago! :D

I do still love G&S, having worked on several. If your name was "up in lights" I was probably the person who helped put it there  Many happy (some will say wasted!) hours working on stage lighting etc for the G&S productions to name but a few. (to 1969)

Slightly off-topic, but anyone remember the one man shows by Bernard Miles and David Kossoff?

Went on to work with other am-dram groups - most notably in Burlington, Ontario.

Regards to all
Graham
