Adrian Leek (1946-2011)

Postby John Saunders » Wed May 06, 2015 5:27 pm

Some time ago (apologies for the time taken to deal with this), John Havard sent me some sad news about Dr Adrian E Leek, who was at the RGS between 1956 and 1964.

John Havard wrote:The current copy of "The Pembroke Record" [i.e. Pembroke College, Oxford] includes an obituary of Dr Adrian Leek (1 Jan. 1946 - 1 March 2011). He attended the RGS from 1956 to 1964, when he went up to Pembroke to read biochemistry.

His career focused on "immuno-assay of medically important chemicals", latterly in Boston, USA, where he lived with his wife, Nina, and family.

The obituary concludes that "Adrian has to be one of the nicest people one could wish to meet ... thoughtful, kind, and immensely 'laid-back'".

Adrian E Leek appears in the 1958 Junior School photo at C29, the 1960 Senior photo at A13, is as yet unidentified in the 1962 Senior photo and is at E25 in the 1964 Senior School photo.

I found an online obituary of Adrian here. R.I.P.
