Saw this coming up for auction in the near future....

Christ’s Hospital, c. 1790, a silver Marker’s medal by L. Pingo, edge named (Frank W. Hawes, 1881).

Frank Wallace Hawes (b. 1866), South Kensington, London. Warden Newcomb Bicknell (1909-92), matriculated from Jesus College, Oxford, 1927; English housemaster at Royal Grammar school, High Wycombe, pre-War, then headmaster of Tadcaster Grammar school; served as a squadron-leader in the RAF in World War II
